Meredith College invites qualified candidates for an 11-month, full-time, non-tenure-track, faculty position as an Instructor of Professional Practice to begin August 1, 2025.
Duties:
Faculty Responsibilities:
- Nine to twelve credit hour teaching load of MS-ADNT supervised experiential learning and/or other didactic coursework.
- Develop and lead alternate learning experiences to meet ACEND competency requirements.
- Review supervised practice documentation/deliverables and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
- Model evidence-based practice, professional behavior, time management, and ethical practice.
- Active involvement within the department, student advising and mentoring, college-wide service and professional involvement.
Program Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Program coordinator for the MS-Accelerated Dietitian Nutritionist Track (MS-ADNT) accredited future education model graduate program.
- Collaborate with the Program Director and community partners to schedule students supervised experiential learning field experience.
- Maintain site agreements and ensure compliance with established site agreements as well as coordinate and facilitate meetings between program faculty, administration, and community partners to discuss new or ongoing initiatives, address concerns, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
- Participate in the application review and selection process for program candidates.
- Assist in development of programmatic materials including preceptor education materials, supervised experiential learning list of required learning activities, rubrics, real-world authentic experience simulations, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate regularly with the Program Director regarding student performance in supervised experiential learning sites and provide remediation when needed.
- Collect and assess data to meet ACEND accreditation requirements and assist the preparation and writing of ACEND accreditation documents and reports.
- Maintain the learning management system for the MS-ADNT program.
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks within the graduate office as identified by the Program Director, Department Chair, and/or Dean.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences, Dietetics, or Public Health. RD credential required.
- At least three years of professional nutrition science or dietetics experience is required.
- The successful candidate will provide evidence of initiative, maturity, professionalism, attention to detail, excellent organizational ability, time management, and interpersonal skills, which include high-quality oral and written communication skills.

The Department of Nutrition, Health and Human Performance (NHHP) is in the School of Education, Health and Human Sciences with majors & minors in Food and Nutrition; Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences; licensure in Physical Education; and an extensive physical education activity service program. NHHP offers M.S. degree in Nutrition with tracks in Dietetics (DPD and ADNT accredited programs) and Community Nutrition, and an accredited Dietetic Internship program.
