Performs maintenance service or repairs to electrical circuits on campus. Is knowledgeable with and can apply proper servicing and replacement of electrical circuits. To include working with high and low voltage applications. Position is classified as essential personnel under college policy and is subject to college and department policies regarding essential personnel. Performs essential duties related to facilities work as identified by management during inclement weather, emergency situations, or as campus needs dictate.

Duties:
- Performs routine, corrective, project and preventive maintenance as assigned/directed by the supervisor.
- Performs equipment/parts repair, installation and servicing as necessary.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Estimates time and material costs of various projects.
- Inspects completed repairs.
- Provides requests to inventory controller/purchaser for requisitioning new parts and equipment.
- Applies advanced skills.
- Duties may include inclement weather safety responsibilities, including the removal of snow, ice and/or branches, and other related responsibilities as necessary due to inclement weather.
- Duties may include activities related to preparation or clean-up during emergency situations.
- May be required to work during campus closures.
- Performs related duties/work as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications:
- Journeyman level 2 (or equivalent) with five (5) or more years’ experience in electrical field.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow architectural and general engineering drawings, schematics and specifications as well as manufacturer’s installation and maintenance documentation.
- Read, speak and write English.
- Hold appropriate electrical licensing or certification as required by law.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Applies advanced skills.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to interact well with other team members.

Physical Demands:
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, climbing, standing and walking.
- May be required to work during periods of inclement weather.
