The Information Manager is a critical position that collects and maintains various forms of data necessary for an efficiently run Financial Assistance Office. Duties include the importing and exporting of data to and from the Federal Department of Education, receiving and processing of financial assistance documents, maintaining student financial assistance electronic records, meeting with and helping prospective students and their families through the financial aid process and corresponding with current students, parents and various outside entities.

Duties:

- Perform all tasks necessary for ISIR downloads including retrieving ISIRS from EDConnect and uploading the data into PowerFAIDS; and applicant data uploads.
- Perform all tasks necessary for loading applicant data from Datatel into PowerFAIDS.
- Initiate document tracking; create follow-up procedure; ready student’s file for verification.
- Meet with and help prospective students and their families through the financial aid process.
- Correspond with current students, parents and various outside entities.
- Responsible as the back-up person for incoming telephone calls during busy times in the Office of Financial Assistance.
- Cover front desk during lunch and other times as needed.
- Workshop presentations.
- Assist the Director with projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

- Preference will be given for those candidates that have an earned Baccalaureate degree and have at least three years’ experience in financial assistance with federal and state financial aid programs, and/or significant work experience.
- This person should be detail-oriented, familiar and comfortable working with various data bases, and Microsoft Office related software.
- This person should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, experience providing good customer service, and proficient written and oral communications skills.
- Meredith College Financial Assistance uses PowerFaids financial aid software and Colleague (Ellucian) campus system software. Experience with either of these systems is a plus.
