The Department of Communication seeks to add a member to our team in the role of Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor of Practice to begin August 1, 2025.

Duties:
This person would teach courses in media and communication studies based on department need and applicant’s background and expertise. Faculty responsibilities include an annual 4/3 course teaching load, academic advising, committee work, and professional development.

Qualifications:
- In the role of Assistant Professor (tenure track), the ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. degree (ABD considered) in communication or journalism along with college teaching and professional experience.
- In the role of Assistant Professor of Practice (non-tenure track), the ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in communication or journalism, extensive professional experience, and college teaching.
