The School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting Fall 2025.
In addition to teaching and published research, faculty obligations include committee service, advising, and additional service to the School of Business and College. The normal teaching load is three courses per semester. Research is required at a level consistent with an AACSB-accredited institution with 3 + 3 teaching load.
Summer research grants are guaranteed for the first two years and available by a competitive application process thereafter.
A commitment to academic excellence and the ability to work effectively and collegially are expected.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or a closely-related field is required; ABDs will be strongly considered. Degrees from AACBS-accredited institutions are highly preferred.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence along with a specific experience or interest in teaching Digital Marketing, Advertising / IMC, Principles of Marketing, Sales / Sales Management, Marketing Research, or Marketing Management. (Note that faculty will not be asked to teach all of these classes; we are looking for class coverage on at least a portion of these offerings.)
- A record of published scholarly activity in refereed journals is required, commensurate with year of degree completion.
- Journals recognized by the Australian Business Dean’s Council (ABDC) are strongly preferred.
- Publications related to the scholarship of teaching and learning, or issues specifically related to women are desirable.
The Meredith College School of Business is the only AACSB-accredited business program at an all-women’s undergraduate institution in the world. The College is private with a liberal arts foundation and serves approximately 1500 undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate studies at Meredith—including the MBA—are co-educational.
Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until the position is filled. To apply, please complete the online application and submit a letter of interest and CV.
