Meredith College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor/Instructor of Child Development and Coordinator of Birth-Kindergarten (B-K) Licensure Program. This position is a full-time, one-year, non-tenure track appointment beginning August 1, 2025.

Duties:
Assistant Professor/Instructor: Teach on-campus undergraduate courses in Child Development. Active involvement within the college, school and department; student advising and mentoring expected.

Coordinator of B-K licensure program responsibilities include: 1) successfully leading and administering the B-K program, including curriculum development, 2) full responsibility for coordination with the Education Department to ensure NCDPI and AAQEP compliance and re-accreditation, including but not limited to the preparation of all re-accreditation documents and assessments; and 3) collaboration with professionals in the field and area preceptors.

Qualifications:
Minimum earned Master’s degree required with specialization in child development, early childhood special education, or closely related field required. Earned doctoral degree preferred. Professional experience and successful teaching experience required.
