Meredith College seeks qualified applicants to the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Social Work. This full-time tenure-track position includes program director administrative duties and a 2-3 teaching load. Appointment, pending budget for next fiscal year, will begin August 1, 2026.
Duties:
Required duties include serving as the Program Director for the undergraduate Social Work program, teaching on campus at the undergraduate level (including Introduction to Social Work, Generalist Social Work Practice with Families and Groups in the Fall, and other courses in future semesters), student academic advising, college and departmental service, and engagement in scholarly or professional activities. The director is responsible for coordinating the program’s CSWE accreditation processes.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Master of Social Work degree or doctoral degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited institution. Applications with an MSW and a doctoral degree in a related discipline will be considered. Applicants should have 2 years post-MSW practice experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Experience with CSWE accreditation preferred.
