The Biology Department at Meredith College invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach lecture and laboratory courses in Genetics and/or Human Anatomy & Physiology beginning Fall 2026. We seek colleagues committed to high quality undergraduate teaching, and supporting student success in a liberal arts environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach lecture and/or laboratory sections in Genetics and/or Human Anatomy & Physiology
- Develop and deliver course materials that align with departmental learning outcomes
- Provide timely assessment, feedback, and academic support to students
- Maintain clear communication with department leadership
- Uphold all instructional, safety, and compliance standards for laboratory teaching
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Biology, Genetics, Physiology, or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate students or evidence of strong potential for effective instruction
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment

Appointment Details:
Adjunct appointments are semester based and part time. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and course load. Opportunities for continued teaching may be available based on departmental needs.
