Meredith College seeks qualified applicants for non-tenure track adjunct instructor positions in the Interior Design program. Adjunct positions begin January 1, 2024.
Duties:
- Teach on-campus undergraduate courses in the following areas within the interior design curriculum: Interior Design Products, Design Presentation Media.
- Active involvement within the college, school, and department and engagement in scholarship and/or professional activity required.
Qualifications:
- Earned master’s degree in Interior Design (MS) or Architecture (M.Arch) required.
- Candidate must have at least one degree in Interior Design (undergraduate or graduate level).
- NCIDQ Certification preferred.
- Registered Interior Designer or Architect preferred.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- A record of professional experience appropriate to the assigned area(s) of teaching responsibility required.
- Experience with CIDA accreditation process is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign required.

The Interior Design Program is one of four program areas offering a major in the Department of Human Environmental Sciences, which also includes programs in Child Development, Fashion Merchandising and Design, and Family and Consumer Sciences. The Interior Design program, which has been CIDA accredited since 1993, has an emphasis on professional practice, which prepares students for success in positions in commercial and residential design.
