Meredith College seeks qualified applicants to the position of Assistant Professor in Food and Nutrition. The position is a full-time, tenure-track position that will begin August 1, 2024.

Duties:
Teaching responsibilities include on-campus undergraduate and graduate courses in Food and Nutrition.  Ability to teach a variety of food and nutrition courses at Undergraduate and Graduate levels with expertise in Nutrient Metabolism and/or Principles of Food Science and/or Medical Nutrition Therapy and/or Lifecycle Nutrition and/or Program Planning and Evaluation. Active involvement within department, college, and student advising; scholarship and service to the profession expected. 

Qualifications:
Earned Ph.D. degree in food, nutrition, dietetics, or closely related fields and RD credential required by position start date. Demonstrated or potential for excellence in undergraduate & graduate teaching; experience with on-line instruction desirable. Ability and willingness to provide an inclusive learning environment required. Background in nutrient metabolism, medical nutrition therapy, basic food science, and/or program planning and evaluation preferred.

The Department of Nutrition, Health and Human Performance (NHHP) is in the School of Education, Health and Human Sciences with majors & minors in Food and Nutrition; Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences; licensure in Physical Education; and an extensive physical education activity service program. NHHP offers M.S. degree in Nutrition with tracks in Dietetics (DPD accredited program) and Community Nutrition, and an accredited Dietetic Internship program.
