The School of Business at Meredith College invites applications for a part-time position as Business Analyst-in-Residence at the rank of Instructor beginning Fall 2025.

Duties:

- Be willing and qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics, including descriptive, predictive, diagnostic and prescriptive statistics using R as well as visualization techniques.
- Be willing and able to teach in multiple modalities including in-person, hybrid, and online.
- Lead workshops and seminars in business analytics to help prepare students for careers and faculty to develop academic curricula in the field of business analytics.
- Engage and advise students in professional activities with business analysts in the community.
- Support and advise students in gaining external certification in business analytics or participating in analytics competitions.
- Display excellence in teaching, mentoring, and service to the School.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of work experience relevant to business analytics OR a Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years work experience relevant to business analytics.
- Current record of working with data analytics in business contexts.
- Proven network of critical relationships in the business or private capital sector.
- Strong desire to develop and mentor students in business analytics.

For this part-time position, a normal teaching load is 6 credit hours per semester, with oversight of the students participating in analytics competitions. Summer teaching for additional compensation may also be available. Commitment to academic excellence and the ability to work effectively and collegially are expected.
